The contrast between both Ferrari drivers after the Grand Prix couldn’t have been more intense.
Charles Leclerc stood to the podium soaking up the adoration of thousands of tifosi observing the Ferrari triumph in Italy since 2010.
Down at the paddock, Sebastian Vettel, the world champion who started the season as the most heavy motorist of the team, was confronting .
This was Vettel’s ninth big error in 27 races because a year’s French Grand Prix. He has been keeping a success rate of one every three occasions and if he is confused and bemused by what is happening up, he is far from the only one.
This one has been quite the worst of the lot. The majority of the other people have come in conflict with another vehicle, or under stress. In this, he was running in fourth place, maintaining pace – Leclerc along with both Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas – if he lost control and spun going about the sixth lap.
That might have been bad enough, but then came the part. Vettel set about rejoining the race without apparently thinking about any cars or appearing for, and he collided with the Racing Point of Lance Stroll, that ran in location.

On the face of it, this appears to have fit into a pattern that appears comfortable with the mistakes recently of Vettel. In moments, a type of mist appears to descend that reduces his capacity for thinking.
The thing is that the mistakes keep occurring. After making a series this past year, Vettel was supposed to go away for winter and think about how to stop it occurring. But they have lasted into 2019 with greater or less the exact identical frequency.
Vettel said he had not been affected by the controversy , and that he hadn’t lost any passion for F1.
“No, not really, I have not,” he said. “I still love what I do but when you’re not doing well when you know that you can do well, you can not be happy.”

“There is some hazardous driving going on,” Hamilton said above the radio. The stewards did nothing.
Leclerc admitted he was challenging, but stated:”I only tried to be in the limit of what is acceptable.
“I understood he had been on the right. He braked since he didn’t want to test the exterior around. I thought I had left a car’s diameter .”
His approach has been informed by the simple fact that Verstappen got away with barging him and the Ferrari broad when he passed for victory over the lap at Austria a month or two ago.
“Since Austria it is clear we can go a bit further from how we can shield and overtaking in the aggression,” Leclerc said. “Austria assisted me change that approach. It was thanks to the I managed to triumph. It was really on the limit but I am pleased to race like this.”
Hamilton sounded convinced.
“It was interesting,” Hamilton stated. “I learnt a great deal about his personality today as a driver as you do when you are racing with different drivers and I will know better for next time.
“There were a couple of surprises – the ones that you saw. Nonetheless, it is just all knowledge for the future.
“We have just constantly asked for consequences. A rule was and todayn’t abided it and they used different consequences for this rule. Why that is the situation I do not really understand. It’s motor racing and also I figure that the stewards awakened about another side of their mattress.
“In case Verstappen ought to have got that last year, then the exact same rule must apply.”
Thus far, the relationship between Leclerc and Hamilton has been hot and respectful, and the man said there was no reason for that to change.
“There is no lack of admiration between drivers,” he explained. “There is no problem. I congratulated him . He’s among the drivers.
